As someone who turned her back on cool in primary school, and spent high school as the sometime loner, brainy weird writer poet, who was into music and drama (as subjects!) – totally with you on this. And maybe one day I’ll even add cello to my repertoire! My mum’s taken up violin in her 70s – so the role modelling’s there.
