It is indeed – I lived there for a while, as a child (in Java), and remember being fascinated by the temples at Borobudur, the Ramayana dances. But my mother is actually from a clan in Negeri Sembilan, Malaysia, a state largely settled by the Minangkabau people. Most likely they originated from Aceh, in Indonesia, but now they are a force to be reckoned with, in mainland Malaysia.
