Stultified by the less glamorous side of legal life, I had an idea this morning — more of a muse, really — to start an occasional series of whimsical verse addressing the Lives of the Poets. Yes, I’m sure it’s been done before — but not by me! And sometimes it’s a struggle to call down the Wingéd One.

So, to make a start, here’s a little musing penned last week, in response to a Chalkboard prompt. A miniature ode to Uncle Tom and poor Auntie Viv:

So – who’s next? A bit of Irish rollicking with W.B.Y.? Or maybe a touch of Mrs V. Woolf (not strictly a poet, although her prose can read like poetry).
