Nothing wrong with rhythm and rhyme – indeed, I think all good poetry has its own innate rhythm (including good free verse) – but maybe experiment with structure a bit more, if you want to shake up your writing from conventional form. I write mainly free verse (unless I’m songwriting) – but usually find the poem doesn’t pull together until I listen for its innate musicality and rhythm. And I love internal rhyme.

So I guess I come here to compose.
