Okay, maybe this one is the challenge for me – I’ve loved Elliot’s work since I stumbled across “The Hollow Men” in a school poetry book in Year 8 of high school, and chose to read it out aloud as my selection. (It obviously made an impression on my relief teacher – a year or so later, she picked me out of the class to read that same poem again.) I’ve referenced his work in quite a number of my poems published on Medium, both directly and obliquely, and even wrote a whimsical (long) one-liner, touching on significant moments from his life…

So… although I’ve been quiet of late, in relation to new work – this one’s calling out to me, so hopefully something new will make its way through. (Also – Love + Death. My kind of themes.) Thanks for the prompt! 💚
