Thanks, David, for expressing so thoroughly and eloquently in your posts, the point I was trying to make. It irritates me from time to time how easily people seem to ignore the significant political and economic power that is collectively known as Asia. Or that many of the previously “colonised” countries have been independent for decades, and are now significant powers in their own right — with huge numbers of tourist trade going back into Australia, the UK, Europe and the US. And also, as you have rightly pointed out, Asia itself.
